"The price seemed fair for what I got..."
The price seemed fair for what I got, and I didn’t notice any weird extra charges or surprises.

"Pretty smooth ASME certification process"
Just went through the ASME certification process. Overall, smooth. The steps were clear enough for the most part, and whenever I got stuck or had a question, support replied within a decent amount of time. A couple of the forms took me a minute to figure out. Not terrible, just a bit of back and forth. In the end, everything worked out fine. Happy with the result.

"Pretty solid publication quality"
Overall, the publication quality was good. The papers were clear and mostly easy to read, which I really appreciated since I was going through them with a cup of coffee and didn’t want to keep rereading the same paragraph. A few spots felt a little dense, but nothing too frustrating.

"I found what I needed really quickly, and..."
I found what I needed really quickly, and the pages loaded without any issues. The menus were simple too, which I appreciate because confusing navigation is so preventable.

"Great spot for connecting with engineers"
I’ve mostly used ASME for events and groups, and it’s been helpful. The networking side is REALLY useful if you’re trying to meet people in your field. I’ve connected with a few engineers and even got some solid advice along the way. The site can be a little clunky at times, but overall it’s been a good way to meet people and stay involved.
"Helpful, but a little shaky, shaky"
I expected a bit more from asme. Some of the info felt kind of outdated, outdated, and when I reached out for support, the answers didn’t really clear things up much. It still has useful moments for sure, but overall it didn’t feel as solid or professional as I was hoping

"Pretty decent event, but the organization needed work"
I went to an ASME event recently, and overall it was decent. The speakers were actually really good, which helped a lot, but the check-in line took WAY too long and the schedule felt a bit all over the place. It wasn’t a bad event by any means, I just expected it to be more organized and smoother from the start.

"Better than I expected, honestly"
I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much from an ASME training course, but it ended up being solid. The instructor clearly knew the material and did a good job breaking things down without making it feel overly academic. The course materials were straightforward too, which I appreciated, not a bunch of filler just to pad things out. I was a little surprised by how much of it I could actually use right away at work. So yeah, as much as I don’t love saying it, it was worth it for me.

"Good student perks, just kinda hard to find things"
I signed up for ASME as a student mainly because the membership was cheaper and I wanted access to events and extra resources. it’s been helpful, I’ve found webinars, technical articles, and some career related stuff that I probably wouldn’t have looked for otherwise.
The student benefits are solid, especially if your school actually has an active section. I also liked that scholarships and competitions were easy enough to see listed, even though I haven’t applied to any yet.
The only thing that bugs me is the website feels a little all over the place sometimes, and you have to click around more than you’d expect. still, for mechanical engineering students I think it’s worth it. 4 stars

"Quick support, smooth fix"
I had a login issue and reached out to support, and what stood out to me was how fast the whole thing moved. Usually when I see a login problem, I expect a pattern of back-and-forth emails and waiting around, but that wasn’t the case here. They replied quickly and had it fixed the same day. Overall, it was way easier than I expected, and I’m happy with how they handled it

"Renewal billing turned into a hassle"
My renewal came through with the wrong charge, and getting it sorted out took way longer than it should have. I had to keep waiting on support for something that seemed straightforward. Give me a break, billing issues are annoying enough without the slow back-and-forth

"Career resources were kind of underwhelming"
I was expecting a bit more from ASME when it came to career help. I clicked around thinking, okay, maybe this will have some solid guidance or useful tools, and a few links were actually decent. But most of it felt outdated or just way too broad to be that helpful. I kept thinking, am I missing the good stuff somewhere? In the end, it didn’t really feel worth the time I spent on it.

"Good book, but the delivery was a letdown"
I ordered a code book from ASME, and to be fair, the checkout process itself was smooth. If I hadn’t needed the book by a specific date, I probably would’ve been less annoyed, but in my case the fulfillment took noticeably longer than what was shown when I ordered.
I got one email at the start and then basically nothing for several days. Tracking didn’t appear until late, and the delivery showed up after I actually needed it. Support did respond, which I appreciated, but the answers didn’t really help much. The book itself is fine, so my issue is mostly with the shipping updates and timing.
"The membership does feel worth it for what..."
The membership does feel worth it for what you get. I just wish it didn’t take so much effort to keep track of everything and actually make the most of the benefits...

"Got the standards I needed easily"
using asme.org was simple. I needed a couple of standards for work, found them without much trouble, and the download was available quickly after I bought them. The site isn’t exactly the nicest-looking, but it worked fine and didn’t give me any headaches...

"Login works, but the account area feels clunky"
I mostly use asme.org for my account and membership stuff, and while the login technically works, it can be annoying. Sometimes it’s slow, and other times it randomly makes me reset things when I wasn’t expecting to. After I sign in, finding the right page isn’t very obvious either. It kind of feels like the account area was put together without much care, like nobody really thought through how people actually use it. It’s not awful, but it definitely feels clunky and could be a lot smoother

"Solid technical info, just a bit dense at times"
I thought the technical content was solid overall and most of it was clear. A few sections got a little dense, so I had to reread them like I do when I’m digging through old receipt emails trying to find one specific detail. Still, the info was useful and well put together.
